New Fingerprinting Process for Compliance

Effective July 1, 2025, the Diocese of Tucson will be transitioning to the Arizona Department of Public Safety Digital Fingerprint Process. The current Arizona Department of Public Safety contracted vendor, Fieldprint, Inc., is the only method of submitting fingerprints electronically through the AZ DPS Public Services Portal. 

 

By completing the Arizona Department of Public Safety Digital Fingerprint process, applicants will be able to:

  • Individually send in their fingerprint-based background check application to DPS. The current cost is $5.10 paid to the Arizona Department of Public Safety by the applicant

  • Electronically send their fingerprints through the authorized electronic fingerprint vendor for the state

  • Check the status of their own background check on their “Dashboard”

  • Applicants will pay for the digital fingerprints when they schedule their appointment.  The current cost for digital fingerprints is $8.25 paid to FieldPrint by the applicant
